Fiber Grating sensor based in curvature sensing for monitoring bidirectional displacements

Abstract

A Bragg grating sensor prototype for Structural Monitoring is presented for the measurement of bidirectional displacements (±50 mm) with a single grating, based on curvature sensing with a sensitivity up to 40 pm/mm.
