Speckle Reduction by Frequency Compounding in 1.7 μm Optical Coherence Tomography using Tunable Quasi-Supercontinuum Laser Source

Abstract

Speckles in OCT hinder visibility of fine-scale structures. We demonstrated speckle reduced OCT imaging using 1.7 μm tunable Quasi-supercontinuum fiber laser source, and the improvement of image contrast in deep tissue imaging was successfully confirmed.
