Modulation Instability Suppression for Fiber Optic DAS Assisted with Dual Wavelength Lasers

Abstract

A dual-wavelength-lasers DAS for suppressing modulation instability (MI) effects is proposed. Through respectively setting the wavelength of one laser at the MI gain spectrum peak of another laser, a 9.225dB power improvement is realized.
