Multi-Gated Photon Counting Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry

Abstract

A multi-gated photon counting optical time-domain reflectometry is demonstrated. In our experiment, a 70-m-long fiber link is tested which tolerates a Fresnel reflection with 35.3 dB greater than the back scattering of Rayleigh.
