Impedance Peaking in Silicon Traveling Wave Mach-Zehnder Modulators

Abstract

We experimentally study silicon photonic traveling-wave modulators with different on-chip terminating resistors for impedance peaking. A 63.5 GHz bandwidth is achieved for a single-segment silicon modulator.
