Fast and Multifunctional Superhydrophobic Light-driven Actuators based on the Marangoni Effect

Abstract

Superhydrophobic light-driven actuators based on the Marangoni effect are demonstrated. A 1.5 W·cm-2 light-driven actuator yields a fast response time of 0.8 s, with its linear velocity approaching 10.1 mm·s-1.
