Abstract

Wavefront distortions (as those introduced by a thermal lens) may be compensated using phase conjugation. This is already achieved with a self-pumped phase-conjugate mirror using stimulated Brillouin scattering. But another possibility is to implement a phase conjugate mirror using photorefractive effect. That is the way we have chosen in order to compensate phase aberration introduced on a nanosecond laser beam. We show in this conference that it is indeed allowed.
