Phase-sensitive interferometry with ultrashort optical pulses

Abstract

The major issue in the characterization of ultrashort-optical pulses is the determination of the chirp, i.e., the relative phase relation between the frequency components within the pulse. We report a novel technique to measure the full phase and frequency properties of an ultrashort pulse.
