Abstract

The generation of high energy, diffraction limited laser beams from the solid-state laser is of great interest for various scientific and industrial applications. Unstable resonators equipped with variable reflectivity output mirrors (usually a super-Gaussian profile) were demonstrated to be the best solutions for these demands.
