Abstract

One of the possibilities of developing high-energy laser systems with the divergence close to the diffraction one is based on the employment of self-phase-conjugation in FWM with feedback (FWMF).1,2 In earlier experiments with Nd glass, the reflected wave energy of 0.4 J was achieved in the Q-switched pulse for the input beam diameter 4 mm.2 The present paper deals with the possibility of increasing the energy output with increasing the operational volume of the active medium.
