Abstract

The description of the lidar system developed in Physics Instrumentation Center for the stratospheric and tropospheric ozone sounding is presented. In this system two receiving telescopes of 60-cm and of 40-cm aperture are used. The spectrum analyzer of the first telescope is supplied with PMT operated in photon counting mode, it is designed for the ozone measurements in 4-40 km range. The PMT in the spectrum analyzer of the second telescope is of analog type; this telescope is used for the measurements in 0.3-5 km range.
