The multicomponent air pollutant photoacoustic gas analysis using a cw 13CO2-laser

Abstract

In the last few years, the photoacoustic spectroscopy with using CO2-lasers has proved promising for local air pollution monitoring. The application of rare isotope carbon dioxide species lasers permits to both reduce the absorption background caused by the atmospheric CO2 and increase the number of substances to be detected. The use of 13CO2 specie in active medium of an exciting laser makes it possible to determine the concentrations of substances, absorbing the radiation in the range of 9.6-10.2 and 10.6–11.4 μm.
