Abstract

Copper vapor lasers being a source of hundreds of watts laser power in the visible range have been developed in various options. Electrical power of order of ten kilowatts is normally deposited in the laser tube. This power goes not only to the discharge plasma but to the electrodes as well. However, information of the energy dissipation in electrodes is not reported so far. We present our study on that subject under typical conditions for CuBr laser.
