Abstract
Present development in the field of Laser-Doppler anemometry (LDA) is driven on the one hand by the appearance of new components, including more compact and powerful laser sources, integrated optics and more flexible signal data processing capabilities. These efforts show a trend to smaller and more robust instruments, also with a potential cost reduction.
