Abstract
We present a new concept for mass production of micro-OPO's pumped with microchip lasers. Microchip lasers are compact and simple diode-pumped solid-state lasers. They have a monolithic cavity with mirrors directly deposited on the laser material. Our concept is the association of a microchip laser without output coupler with a monolithic OPO (Fig. 1). The microchip laser and the OPO wafers are assembled using a novel process and the micro-OPO is cut using a dicing saw. In this configuration, the OPO benefits of the intracavity laser power to reach the oscillation threshold.
