Abstract

These last years, many experimental results have been published to emphasize the nonlinear optical properties of metallic surfaces. Two recent experiments done by Murphy et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 63, 318 (1989)) and Janz et al. (Phys. Rev. B 44, 8, 3943 (1991)) have stressed the polarization anisotropy as well as the azimuthal anisotropy of the (111) surface of Aluminum.
