Abstract

In the recent years self-starting laser systems with the cavity based on gain gratings have been demonstrated [1,2]. In this report we present new results of our investigation of a Nd:YAG laser with cavity formed with participation of population gratings (PGs) induced in the laser crystal as well as in the saturable absorber (Li:F or Cr4+ :YAG) by generated beams themselves.
