Abstract

We have investigated the possibility of using optical parametric amplifiers (OPA) as optical parametric chirped pulse amplifiers (OPCPA), in which energy from a narrow bandwidth pump source is efficiently transferred to a chirped signal pulse prior to its recompression (1).
