Abstract
A-number of scientific and industrial applications (for instance in the field of telecommunication) require radiation sources with rather wide tunability within the 1.3 μm range. LiF crystals with stable F2- color centers have proved to be efficient source of widely tunable radiation which can be shifted to the desired region by means of Raman converters. In this report the barium nitrate Ba(NO3)2 Raman laser, pumped by tunable LiF:F2- color center (CC) laser was investigated For tuning range broadening the CC laser was pumped by passively Q-switched Nd:YLF laser with shorter oscillation wavelength (1.047 μm).
