Abstract

A nanosecond pulsed Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO) based Difference Frequency Generation (DFG) IR-Laser source is implemented in a photoacoustic spectrometer for sensitive and selective trace gas analysis [1]. Tuning ranges of 400 - 2000 nm for the OPO and of 2.5 - 4.5 μm using LiNbO, as non-linear medium for the DFG source are achieved with a linewidth of 0.25 cm-1 throughout the whole tuning range.
