Abstract

Optical properties of materials can be retrieved through a complete characterization in intensity and phase of a laser pulse after propagation into the sample. Among all the available techniques, the frequency domain phase measurement (FDPM) technique [1] does offer a direct reconstruction of the pulse without any iterative algorithm and this approach has been applied to analyze the behaviour of the phase for χ(2) cascading processes [2].
