Measurement of Space and Time Profile of Shaped Ultrafast Optical Pulses using Spatial-Spectral Interference

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

In many fields, including optical information processing and coherent control of matters arbitrary shaping of femtosecond optical pulses is expected to bring a large number of benefits. Therefore, great expectations are held to the capability of a frequency domain pulse synthesizer, which is achievable by modulating the amplitude and the phase of an ultrashort pulse at a Fourier frequency plane without any fast response devices.
