Abstract

Compact and high-stability TW Ti:sapphire laser systems with high pulse energy and high repetition rate are required for the practical use in the application of the inverse Compton femtosecond X-ray generation. Such practical TW laser systems need high-power regenerative amplifiers as preamplifier with high beam quality. We present a high-power regenerative amplifier operating at a repetition rate of 50 Hz with the wavefront distortion below λ/10.
