Interferometry for Rough Surface

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Interferometry is suitable for the inspection of smooth surface. However, the fringe pattern is not observed for rough surface, such as a machined surface, because of the light scattering. A technique which enables to observe the interference fringes for rough surface is proposed in this paper.
