Single frequency master oscillator fiber power amplifier system with 20 W output power

Abstract

We demonstrate a single frequency master-oscillator fiber amplifier system based on a monolithic nonplanar Nd:YAG ring oscillator as seed and a diode-pumped Yb-doped fiber amplifier including a LMA-fiber. Up to 20 W at 1064 nm were emitted with near diffraction limited beam quality (M2~1.3).
