Abstract

In recent years the highly effective intacavity doubling of a continuous-wave (CW) of diode pumped microchip lasers has seen rapid development on base crystals with low thermal conductivity. The best results were achieved by use Nd: LSB crystal [1,2], having at 300K. along Z-axis the thermal conductivity 2.8 W m–1 K–1. The pumping radiation forms in crystal a thermal lens with focus distance a few milimeters. The thermal-induced lens in the laser crystal provides a stable resonator with a good overlap of laser mode and pump focus.
