Abstract

The generation regimes and technological opportunities of the pulsed Nd:GGG and Nd:YAG lasers with passive Q-switching and self-phase-conjugation in active rods and LiF:F2 crystal are investigated. Pulse train energy up to 8 J and individual pulse peak power more then 17 MW, spatial brightness up to 1·10 13 W/cm2sr and coherent length more then 15 m and also spectrum width less then 4·10–3 cm–1 are achieved. Increasing the specific energy extraction (up to 0.7 J/cm3) is shown for Nd:GGG laser medium.
