Abstract

The quantum dynamics of ions confined in combined Paul and Penning traps can be explicitly described by axial and radial linear systems for the dynamical symplectic group Sp(2,R) [1]. The axial generators K_a₀, K_a± and the radial generators K_a₀ K_r± are realized as, We introduce the unitary operators.
