Abstract
In recent years entanglement has been analyzed as a resource for quantum information processing. Here we address the use of entanglement and entangled states as a tool in the design of novel quantum measurement schemes. We show that entangled-assisted schemes improves the precision of quantum measurements of states and operations. We provides several examples with applications in quantum characterization of optical media and devices.
