Abstract

Ultrashort pulse tunable coherent light sources in ultraviolet-blue region are of importance for various applications. Especially, if rapid and random wavelength tuning of the sources is realized, their application fields can be extended drastically. However, mechanical rotation of a grating, prisms, and birefringence plates limits flexibility of the wavelength tuning of the sources.
