Abstract
Light propagation in soft-matter such as colloidal systems can be affected via a feedback mechanism by light-induced structural changes, owing to their high responsivity to external stimuli. In spite of such attractive feature and the low powers needed to observe nonlinear phenomena, the optical nonlinear response of soft matter was generally overlooked.
