Gradient-induced position trapping and guiding of solitary structures in an LCLV single feedback experiment

Abstract

Spatial solitary structures are localised light spots in the transverse plane of an optical beam. Due to their binary features they have been suggested for applications in optical data-storage and for all-optical routing and switching of information. We investigate a lateral position control of solitary structures required to suppress mutual interaction and spontaneous dynamics. [1]
