Hybrid mode-locking scheme for similariton fiber lasers

Abstract

Passively mode-locked fiber lasers were studied intensively during the last decades and are useful light sources for various applications. Similariton fiber lasers drawed particular attention because of the highly linear chirp allowing efficient pulse compression and the possibility to scale the pulse energy.
