Abstract

Phase-conjugating mirrors (PCM) have been used to improve beam quality of the bulk type high power solid-state laser system. In a double-pass amplifier or a multi-pass amplifier, phase distortions are added in solid-state laser media. The PCM based on stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) can compensate the phase distortions.
