Abstract

Two photon microscopy benefits from relatively deep penetration of near infrared exitation light into tissue, as multiple been demonstrated in subcellular resolution. With restriction to endogeneous fluorophores one can avoid stains and therefore is able to characterize the tissue in vivo.
