Abstract

At present Ti:sapphire lasers are the most convenient lasers to generate femtosecond pulses. To apply the femtosecond pulses to various fields, it is necessary to convert the fundamental wavelength, 800 nm. Nowadays it is possible to have femtosecond pulses with a spectral range from far infrared (THz) to extreme ultraviolet (XUV) wavelengths with various frequency conversion schemes.
