Abstract

Capability to generate tunable high power infrared laser pulses is of the importance for applied research like biomedical or material processing as well as for fundamental research like carrier transitions in semiconductors or relaxation of vibrational modes in molecules. Mid-infrared (MIR) pulses have been previously generated with several techniques, by use of optical parametric oscillator (OPO) [1] or by difference frequency mixing in a Non-Linear crystal of two different CPA systems [2] or by using a single two-color CPA laser with ring regenerative amplifier [3]. In all cases, the experimental setup is quite complex.
