Long-term stabilization of pulse-to-pulse energy of a high-energy multipass Ti:sapphire CPA system

Abstract

Pulse-to-pulse energy stability for pulse lasers is of essential importance for any applications. The pulse-energy stabilization for low-energy (less than a few millijoules) lasers has been performed by some different ways [1-3]. A passive method has been demonstrated for stable operation of the Ti:sapphire regenerative amplifier [1]. In this method, by optimizing both the cavity round-trip times and the optical loss in the amplifier, the output fluctuation caused by the gain fluctuation can be effectively suppressed.
