Abstract

Laser radiation in the 2 µm spectral range is useful for different applications: medicine, scientific research, environmental gas detection. Single crystals of tetragonal scheelitelike Tm3+-doped double tungstates and molibdates are of interest as active media for building 2 µm tunable lasers.
