Abstract

The stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) via phase conjugation mirror (PCM) is a very powerful tool in laser systems. The SBS-PCM based on this nonlinear process can be successfully used to compensate the thermally induced phase distortion in high power laser systems. The PCM is very efficient for enhancing the laser beam quality especially in designing the double pass or multi-pass amplifier systems [1].
