Abstract

Terahertz (THz) radiation has been investigated extensively in the past decade due to its wide potential applications. Focal plane imaging is one of important THz imaging technologies for quickly achieving the THz time domain waveforms of an object [1]. Both amplitude and phase information about the object at each point of the object can be achieved simultaneously. However, in order to achieve the image of whole object, both the THz and probe beams have been expanded, thus the THz signal is quite weak and the signal noise ratio is not as well as that of the time domain spectroscopy (TDS). Therefore, it is necessary to improve the performances of the real time focal plane imaging technology.
