Photonic wire held by resonant nanotethers for improved filtering

Abstract

The nanotethers holding a suspended photonic wire may behave as both partial Bragg reflectors in the wire and as coupled resonators. Making a few tethers purposely more resonant is shown to improve the filter rejection.
