Abstract
A new generation of resonant grating filters called Cavity Resonator Integrated Guided Mode Filters (CRIGFs) were recently introduced in [1]. Such reflective filters exhibit high reflectivity with narrow spectral bandwidth even for tightly focused beams [2]. This, combined with their large alignment tolerances make them ideal candidates for use as reflectors in cat's-eye-configuration external-cavity setups, which are known to be much more stable and easier to use than the commonly used Littrow configuration [3,4].
