Abstract
Mode-locked thin-disk (TD) oscillators have experienced a tremendous development during the past couple years. Average powers of more than 250 W and peak powers of more than 40 MW have been directly generated by oscillators [1,2]. Extra-cavity compression resulted in about two optical cycles [3]. These properties let high-harmonic generation at MHz repetition rates come into reach. To make frequency comb spectroscopy and attosecond pulse generation feasible, carrier-envelope-phase (CEP) stabilization is required. So far, CEP stabilization at high average power (> 10 W) has been demonstrated only by means of intracavity loss modulation [3]. This work presents a different, fully power-scalable approach based on dual-wavelength pumping by two different pump diode heads.
