Abstract
Transverse Anderson localization [1] is the trapping of waves due a disordered potential which is invariant along propagation direction, cancelling the effects of diffraction. It has recently been demonstrated that such form of wave trapping may be exploited to fabricate a novel generation of optical fibers which may either be obtained in plastic [2] or in glass[3].
