Abstract
Nowadays, Colloidal CdSe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) has attracted great attention due to the characterisitc of high quantum yield, minimal backscattering, tunable bandgap and narrow linewidth [1]. This CdSe/ZnS QDs appear feasible for use as color conversion nanophosphors to improve the CRI for solid-state lighting and use in the display application because of the narrow linewidth.Accordingly, several studies were employed the colloidal QDs as color converting material in LEDs. Jang et al. develpoed the excellent CRI of white LEDs by using CdSe QDs and Sr3SiO5:Ce3+,Li+ [2] and Chen et al. employed the DBR structure to increase the light efficiency for white QD LED [3]. In this study, liquid-type QD White LED are demonstrated as effective color-conversion layer in UV LED packages. The white QD LED can be demonstared with high Color Rendering Index (CRI) at 4360K. Furthermore, the picture of the different QD pictures was also demonstrated in this study.
