Abstract

In pump probe spectroscopy, the possibility of sampling large time windows with a fine time resolution is a desirable feature for many applications, such as e.g. the study of biological systems, whose dynamics can span from femtosecond to millisecond timescales. A multiscale time scanning from 2 ps to 1ms has been previously demonstrated by using two amplified laser systems seeded by phase-locked oscillators, whose phase shift was used for fine control of the pump-probe delay [1].
