Abstract

Pulse characterization in the optical regime requires one to reconstruct, by secondary method, the amplitude and phase of the electric field since no detector is fast enough for direct measurement. Several methods to do reconstruction of the electric field exists eg. FROG [1], SPIDER [2], MIIPS [3] and many more. We extend ptychography to the time domain for the first time [4] and adapt the reconstruction algorithm in order to successfully do pulse characterization [5].
