Abstract

Dynamically or actively tuning the reflection and transmission is an active area of research since it provides spectral selectivity, which is an important requirement for applications such as target recognition, bio-chemical sensing and selective filters. Recently, use of continuous and lithography-free thin films has opened the door for employing ultra-thin Fabry-Perot type interference films with the advantage of requiring minimal fabrication steps [1, 2].
