Abstract
Diode laser based dual-wavelengths light sources are requested for several applications, among others for the generation of THz-radiation by difference frequency generation, the measurement of gas concentrations using differential optical absorption spectroscopy (DOAS), and shifted excitation Raman difference spectroscopy (SERDS) to separate Raman lines from natural or artificial light, scattering or fluorescence. To achieve different THz frequencies and to address the different spectral width of absorption or Raman lines an electrical adjustment of the spectral distance between the two wavelengths is needed. In the case of SERDS typical distances are in the range between 10 cm−1 and 30 cm−1.
